Coaching Incentive -  Gallup Soccer League is proud to announce

that once again, we will be offering an incentive for coaches.  The head coach

of a team will be given a discount on the registration fee of their first child in the

form of a rebate.  At the end of the soccer season, coaches who have fulfilled

the requirements for the discount incentive will receive a check back from the

Gallup Soccer League refunding all but $16.00 of the registration fee they paid

for their first child.  The $16.00 that will not be refunded is the amount required

for the state registration fee.  In order to qualify for this incentive, coaches must:

1.     Attend a coaches clinic - these clinics help coaches learn the basic rules

        and strategies of soccer, giving new coaches a head start!  **Please note,

        ONLY new, non-licensed coaches must meet this requirement.  If

        you are already licensed, your current license fulfills this requirement.

2.     Attend the parent meeting - the parent meeting will be held in combination

        with the soccer jamboree this year.  Coaches who sign up before July 17,

        2010 will be able to pick up their equipment at the parent

        meeting/Jamboree.  The Jamboree & Parent Meeting will be held on July

        17, 2010 starting at 9:00 am.

3.     Coaches must hold at least 4 practices before their team's first game. 

        Practice start dates will be announced soon so please check back for     

        updates.  Games will begin on August 13th or 14th this year.

4.     Coaches must return their equipment to their age director and be in good

        standing with the league.

 

This incentive is our way of saying "Thank-You" to all of our wonderful

coaches.  We appreciate your time, dedication, and support!

 

Risk Management  -  All coaches, assistant coaches and team parents

must complete a background check for risk management purposes. 

Coaches will not receive their team roster or information until the Risk

Management Disclosure form has been approved by the State.  Please click

form.       

 

COACH TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

Coaches interested in furthering their coaching education by obtaining a license

at the D,C,E,B, or A level, click herefor more information about course

information, dates and locations.

 

Gallup Soccer League will be offering the Youth Modules 1 & 2 in Gallup this

year.  Coaches who take the Youth Module 1 will receive a national youth

license for coaching U-6 and U-8.  Coaches who take the Youth Module 2 will

receive a national license for coaching U-10 and U-12.  These courses are free

of charge and information about these trainings are listed at the top of this

page.

 

All coaches are given equipment at the start of the season by the Gallup

Soccer League.  Equipment needs to be turned in at the end of the

season.  All equipment will be issued and collected by your Age

Director.  Please notify your age director of any problems or requests

regarding your equipment.
